A Website Improvement Request. 2007/05/04 00:03 Karma: 0
Hello sir.
I mistakenly stumbled upon your wonderful website, and found it to be most informative! I especially enjoyed the expertly-written template creation article, and will make sure to include all of your excellent suggestions in my own marketing and web-design endeavors! I was overjoyed to see the aptly named forum. It is, concerning the latter, that I wanted to talk about. The forum seems a little barren for now, and I might have a suggestion that could help jump-start the many inquisitive discussions that I am sure are soon to flood the board. The suggestion is this: Create a General section for all of the miscellaneous discussions. The kind of place where I could've added this post, instead of lodging it into the jaws of "AdSense by Example," an act that I surely will regret when you rightly delete my humble posting for being offtopic.

Glad to meet you here. Thanks for advice. Just wanted to make changes to forum template before starting real forum. Struggling from influence of my Joomla template to this forum CSS. Can't find what is wrong, but unable to change everything as I want. Some properties are inherited and can't find-out what exactly.

I started to look around "searchbox" properties and found out that in both my Joomla template and Fireboard template the same name for id #searchbox{} was used. As soon as the same id could not be used more than one time on a page, searchbox in Fireboard had the same properties as my Joomla searchbox. As soon as I changed this id in Joomla template and CSS the problem was fixed.
Updated my template for Joomla to fix this problem.
Now I'll start changing template for forum to match Joomla color set.
New template for Joomla is attached to this post.
By the way, Firefox Web Developer toolbar is excellent addon and helps to evaluate and fix problems. Especially CSS section, where you can disable some stiles or view
CSS properties for any part of HTML page.

Да, кстати, я заметил тут банеры в промежутках между отдельными постами... как-то оно гаденько.
P.S Интересно, я один такой дурак сюда хожу, или уже трафик набирается?
